Magnacatta Tulita

Tulita is just a beautiful lilac Brit kitten, but she is not just a pretty face, she is the sweetest most affectionate and relaxed kitten of all time. I am very attached to her.

Everybody loves Barnum

He is a just a wonderful kitten and will be a great big teddy bear when he is fully grown! Here is a picture of Barnum at 9 weeks.

Magnacatta Barnum - too cute for words

Barnum is a blue male and is the biggest kitten of the litter but he is loving and affectionate. His fur is plush and he has large round eyes.

Magnacatta Lord Denning

Denning ("Denny" to some friends) is a lilac colourpoint boy. I thought he was a female for a while but the vet confirmed my suspicions when he went for vaccinations. He is an active, lively kitten and lets me hold him like a baby but only when it suits him.

8 day old kittens - so sweet

Blue colourpoint boy - blue boy - lilac girl - blue girl - all at 8 days old.

4 of 6 babies on my pajamas

These babies are eight days old. Pictured here from left - clockwise - Solid lilac girl - blue colourpoint boy - blue boy - blue girl.

Our lilac girl has a drink from the bottle

Magnacatta Tulita is 3days old and drinks kitten milk replacer from the bottle like a pro. She was not gaining weight in the first few days so we supplement the breast milk with a couple of bottles each day.

Magnacatta Kaalu, Brenda's favorite

Magnacatta Kambo, loves the boa toys...

Kambo is so much fun to play with. He is the first kitten to come running to check out the guests when we have company.

Magnacatta Kambo, the friendliest kitten ever...

Magnacatta Kelly Nelson, such a sweetheart.

Mr. Nelson is the biggest kitten in the litter and he is going to be a great big cat when he is full grown. He is very solid and muscular. He is a bit shy but once you are holding him, he relaxes and takes in the love. He looks almost pure white right now but his colour will come in eventually.

Magnacatta Juniper

It's just not possible to get a bad photo of Juniper. She has no idea how spectacular she is.

Bradford loves the kittens too.

Magnacatta Kato Kaitlin ("Kato")

Is there anything cuter on earth? Step aside Mr. Winkles...

Magnacatta Kelly Nelson

Kelly Nelson is the biggest kitten in the litter. He is lean, solid. He LOVES his food and is often pushing and shoving the other kittens so he has a clear path to his mom when he nurses. He is very strong so the other kittens have a tough time holding on when Mr. Nelson is moving in.

Magnacatta Moonbeam

Moonbeam is a torbie colourpoint. The light or white markings on her face will fill in with tortoise shell colouring over the next few months. She is the most intelligent kitten in the litter and is very "typey", meaning her physical appearance is close to the breed standard as set by TICA.

Magnacatta Kambo

Magnacatta Kambo - sleeping in the sun

Magnacatta Kambo is a red silver tabby colourpoint and he is such an affectionate boy. He purrs when I pet him and he is so relaxed when I hold him.

Magnacatta Kelly Nelson

Mr. Nelson is a red silver tabby colourpoint and he is the biggest kitten in the litter, which is not surprising since he LOVES food. He had his shots today and he weighed 1 lb. 15 oz. His colour is still very light, he looks almost white, but the colour will come in on the "points" over the next few months.

Bradford at the Cat Show

Here is Bradford being judged at the cat show in Seattle on February 12, 2006.

Sleepy Kaalu

Baby Kaalu is my favorite kitten in this litter. She follows me around the house and is the first kitten to come running when she hears my voice.

Sleeping Kambo and Kato

It is so tough to get photos of kittens because they are always moving. I take hundreds of photos to get just a handful that I can use. Digital photography is a great invention.

Kambo (upsidedown) and Kato are having their afternoon nap.

Eowyn and baby Kato

Eowyn loves to sit on the cat perch and look out the living room window. The kittens will follow her anywhere so they can nurse. She is a great mom and takes excellent care of her kittens.

Eowyn - Red Silver Tabby Colourpoint

Baby Juniper

Magnacatta Juniper is the perfect example of a baby Brit because she looks just like a teddy bear. The Brits are often referred to as the teddy bear of cats.

Juniper is a colourpoint and I expect she will be a lilac cream colourpoint, which will be so beautiful. She is friendly, affectionate and so darn cute!

Magnacatta Kaalu

Magnacatta Juniper - Such a Sweetie

Magnacatta Juniper appears to be a lilac cream colourpoint - her true colour will not be known for a few months. She is very playful and loves to roll over onto her back and have her tummy rubbed.

Magnacatta Kaalu

Kaalu was born December 26, 2005. She is a female chocolate torbie colourpoint British Shorthair. She comes running when she hears my voice or sees me and she mews softly until I pick her up. Sometimes she falls asleep in my arms, which I love. She is playful and affectionate. Her colouring is rare and unusual for Brits in North America.

If you want to know where her name comes from, check out the most excellent film "Water" by Deepa Mehta.

Magnacatta Pinkerton - Simply Perfect

Pinkerton is a Red Silver Tabby Colourpoint British Shorthair male. This is a very rare colour and I am not aware of any other Brit breeders in North America who have this colour. Look for Pinkerton's photo in an advertisement in the March 2006 issue of Cat Fancy which will feature British Shorthair cats on the cover of that issue.

We currently have kittens born December 26, 2005 who have the same parents as Pinkerton - the dam is Animagus Lady Eowyn of Magnacatta and the sire is Casadeva Cheekie Chappie. Photos of the individual kittens will be posted shortly. The males will be red silver tabby colourpoints and the females will be blue torbie colourpoint or lilac cream colorpoint.

Here is a new photo of Magnacatta Monsignor Bradford that was taken at the cat show in Raleigh, North Carolina over New Years. He is 6 months old in the picture and weighs about 9 pounds.

This was the most competitive show to date for Bradford but he still got 6 finals and enough points to make him the top British Shorthair kitten for the NW region for the year (so far).
