Magnacatta Liberty

Magnacatta Liberty ("Libby") is 6 months old in this picture. She is sister to Magnacatta Monsignor Bradford. Her eye colour is brilliant copper and her fur is a pale, silvery blue. She is friendly and playful, simply a wonderful kitten. She will be bred with Casadeva Cheekie Chappie, a lilac colourpoint, and it will be interesting to learn if she carries colourpoint. Her grandmother, Excalibur Mrs Bennett of Magnacatta, was a colourpoint carrier, there is a 50% chance her mother, Magnacatta My Girl, was a carrier, and there is a 25% chance Libby will carry colourpoint. Liberty's kittens will not have any colourpoint in a three generation pedigree and will be eligible for registration with CFA as well as TICA. She has not been shown because I do not want the points to be split between her and her brother, Bradford. They are both excellent examples of the breed.

Animagus Lady Eowyn of Magnacatta

I travelled to Regensberg, Bavaria Germany to get Eyown when she was 3 months old. She is a red silver tabby colourpoint British Shorthair. She is currently pregnant by Casadeva Cheekie Chappie and will have kittens around the end of December, 2005.

All of the kittens will be colourpoints. The males will be red or cream with or without silver and the females will be lilac cream, blue cream, tortie or torbie.

Casadeva Cheekie Chappie

Cheekie is a lilac colourpoint british shorthair. He came to Canada all the way from England and usually lives in Hamilton, Ontario with Eleanor Anstruther of Hi Crown Cattery. He is wintering here in Alberta and will be the proud father of kittens with Animagus Lady Eowyn of Magnacatta (born near the end of December 05).

Cheekie has the sweetest disposition. He often sits like a bear and he rolls over onto his back to let other cats know that he is friendly and they have nothing to fear. He is registered with TICA, CFA and GCCF.

Magnacatta British Shorthair Cats

We are a small cattery and have only two litters of kittens each year. The kittens are raised in a loving home with lots of human contact so they are properly socialized before they are rehomed.

We are expecting kittens in December 2005. The mother is Animagus Lady Eowyn of Magnacatta (Red Silver Tabby Colourpoint) and the sire is Casadeva Cheekie Chappie (Lilac Colourpoint). The kittens will be ready to go to new homes when they are around 12 weeks of age.

If you are interested in our kittens, email me at magnacat@telus.net.

Magnacatta Eldon

This is a red silver classic tabby British Shorthair kitten at about 3 months of age. He currently lives in Calgary, Alberta Canada and is the sweetest cutest kitten ever. He has the most gentle and loving nature. We affectionately referred to him as "Chubster" because he was such a round baby boy.

Magnacatta Monsignor Bradford

This is a photograph of Magnacatta Monsignor Bradford. He is only 4 months old in this photo and he did very well at the Southern Alberta Calgary Cat Fanciers TICA show on October 29-30, 2005. His mother, Magnacatta My Girl, won an award of Excellence from TICA, she was the 3rd Best British Shorthair Kitten for the NW region in 2004 and the 3rd Best British Shorthair Cat for the NW region in 2005, 2nd best in colour. His father is Stonehaven Wolfie Mozart of Hi Crown who was the top British Shorthair for the Canadian Cat Association for 2004. This paring produced our best litter of kittens to date.
